Fix my wheel

The questions we get asked

Fourteen questions — the ones that come up most often by phone and by email. If yours is not here, write to us: the workshop answers.

Before you send the hub

Is my wheel eligible?

Aluminium rim and J-bend spokes. No carbon, no straight-pull.

What exactly do I send?

The hub on its own, stripped from the wheel. A complete wheel, or a partly stripped one, means a stripping charge on top.

How do I know my hub is still good?

Three two-minute checks: side play, axle rotation and the freehub body.

What about an electric hub motor?

We do build a wheel around a hub motor. Check its cable before sending: a split outer or a bare wire means a visit to a specialist — we do not touch the electrical side and do not check it.

How should I pack the hub?

In a box its own size, ideally with polystyrene protection, marked « Retour moyeu ». The shipping address is on the order form.

Choosing the rim

Where do I find my rim dimensions?

Usually on the rim itself, otherwise on the tyre sidewall. The selector only asks for what you know: the choice narrows as you go.

Can I change the rim width?

Yes. The selector shows the neighbouring widths at equal dimensions, with the matching rim tape.

Can I choose the colour?

Silver or black rim, silver or black spokes, depending on the model. Velox 120 psi rim tape is available as an option.

What if none of the rims fits?

Tell us. Beyond the twenty-three models in the selector, a special order can be looked at.

Lead time, price and carriage

How long does it take?

48 to 72 hours after we receive the hub, Chronopost return included.

How much does it cost?

€160 including VAT per wheel, return carriage included. Rims of 27C and wider — Kargo XL and Trucky — add €10. Trade customers have their own price, on request.

Who pays for shipping?

Outbound is at your expense, the return is included. Insurance up to €500 is available.

Shops, brands and batches

Is there a trade price?

Yes, a dedicated price for bike shops and manufacturers, on request from our sales department. We also take small and medium batches, with your components or ours.

Do you build wheels under our own brand?

Yes, from prototype to volume production: we define the build around how the bike is really used, validate it on prototypes, then produce. Describe your project and we will quote it.
